The 6010 Frequency control clock systems have three sets of independently programmable voltage-free relay contacts. Each contact set may be programmed to provide one of the following status or precision time signal functions:

Function  
Power Contacts are closed while power is present. Contacts open when the power supply is removed.
Error Contacts are closed with the master clock is synchronised to an external source. Contacts open while the unit is unsynchronised
5 seconds 100mS contact closure every 5 seconds
1 Minute 100mS contact closure every minute
1 hour 100mS contact closure every hour
Programmable 100mS contact closure once per day, at a time programmable in hours and minute.

6010 & 6100 series frequency control clock systems will operate either as stand-alone units or synchronised from a wide range of external time references.

Stand-alone operation
  When used in stand-alone configuration the standard time clock maintains time keeping from an internal high stability TCXO. The clock is pre-programmed for leap-years, and can be user programmed for the required automatic seasonal time-change.
Standard Time Synchronisation modes:
Time code w482® time code from a Wharton master clock or time server
GPS GPS or GLONASS satellite time signal - requires a Wharton 488.HS3-GPS or 488.HS3-GLONASS time synchronisation sub-system.
Ethernet NTP Automatic synchronisation with remote NTP network timeservers across a TCP/IP Ethernet network

Frequency control clock cases are manufactured from aluminum extrusion and sheet and finished in high quality brushed black or silver anodising. Cases can also be supplied painted to any standard RAL colour as an extra cost option. Various case installation options are available for all types of mounting applications.

Timing accuracy
  • Each frequency control clock system has a high quality TCXO - unsynchronised accuracy: <0.1 sec/day @ 20-25°C
  • When synchronised via an NTP/SNTP timeserver the clock is typically synchronised
    within 1-10 milliseconds of master clock timebase depending on network delay and jitter.
  • GPS/GLONASS synchronisation: ±5mS of UTC when the clock is synchronised via a 488.HS3-GPS or 488.HS3-GLONASS receiver.
